Nadya Suleman's Octuplets Turn One
Nadya Suleman's octuplets turned one year old today.
The controversial mother of 14 children threw a birthday party for her octuplets last Sunday and plans another, smaller one for Tuesday. "It'll be a quiet celebration," she says. "You definitely won't find a bouncy house here ... We had birthday cake and pizza on Sunday. It was quite a mess, quite a mess."
When asked by People Magazine if she would do it all over again, the Octomom says: "No, no, no ... I love kids, but I also recognize that things could be better for mine. I never planned on eight. I wanted one or maybe two more. But I had eight. It's not the best situation, but I'm doing what I can do."

American Idol Contestant's Search For Missing Mom
The mother of American Idol contestant, Angela Martin, has been missing since the day after Christmas. Martin auditioned on Jan. 19th in the Chicago auditions, and received unanimous approval from the judges, and a golden ticket to Hollywood.
In her post-audition interview, a beaming Martin said, “I cannot give up. I think what sets me apart from others is my determination. I’m a go-getter for my dreams, the things that I want, the things that I need, the things that my daughter needs.”
While her family continues to search for her mom and care for her daughter Jessica back in Chicago, Martin will continue her quest to be the next American Idol. “The mothers, the other contestants, everyone has really, really held me up,” she says. “They have told me they are praying for me. I mean, the mothers of the contestants that I’m in a competition with have been really supportive. I thank God today because I kind of lost it a lot, seeing the mothers and fathers here, but I’m pretty tough.”
This will be Angela's third attempt at becoming America's next American Idol, and her story has been one of struggle, sadness and challenges.
She first auditioned for American Idol in 2007, the Chicago songstress made it to Hollywood. But once there, Angela learned that her father had been murdered; shortly thereafter, she was cut in the second round. In 2008, she auditioned once more and made it to the top 50, but had to leave the competition to go to court to settle a traffic ticket.
RadarOnline reported the story last week, confirming police in Chicago still consider Brown a missing person.
Martin received praise from the "American Idol" judges during her recent audition, which aired last week."It's people like you, that is why I like doing this show," Simon Cowell said.
"You do deserve a break," added fellow judge, Kara DioGuardi.
Angela is hoping she will be able to provide a better life for her and her 10-year-old daughter, who has Rett Syndrome, a developmental disorder.
In her post-competition interview Angela added,
“Music heals my soul and it heals my heart and I tell everyone, I have a Band-Aid on my heart right now and I don’t know if it is going to fall off soon, but it’s keeping me whole and it’s my music.”

DWTS Cheryl Burke Embracing The Single Life Again
Cheryl Burke has split with boyfriend, model Maxwell Zagorski, according to People Magazine. Seems like the old adage about long distance romances not working well proved right as sources say the relationship had problems because Burke, 25, and Zagorski, 22, live on opposite coasts.
Burke and Zagorski, who has appeared in ad campaigns for Levi’s and Abercrombie & Fitch, were introduced by former DWTS contestant Lance Bass last winter.
Burke, a two-time champion on DWTS, is expected to return for the show’s tenth season, which premieres March 22.

OMG. How did I miss those rumors about my most favorite pirate of all time, Johnny Depp, being , well.....on a pirate ship in the sky??
Thankfully those rumors have been laid to rest. Notmy Johnny himself.
Wondering how the sexiest man alive met his 'maker?' According to the online rumor, Depp did not survive a car crash in France this past Saturday.
Robin Baum, who represents the 46-year-old actor, said Monday the hoax the work of an irresponsible and unconscionable person, especially since children and families are involved.

Big Brother's Jeff and Jordan Take on Amazing Race

CBS Big Brother sweethearts Jeff and Jordan have moved on from Big Brother (which Jordan successfully won in case you hadn't watched last season,) and took on The Amazing Race together. I guess reality shows can be addicting after all...
Jordan Lloyd and boyfriend Jeff Schroeder will be one of the 11 teams racing almost 40,000 miles on the 16th edition of the show, which premieres Feb. 14 (8 p.m. EST) on CBS. The teams will begin their journey by taking public transportation to LAX, where they’ll get on a plane headed to first stop, Chile.
And CBS is teasing Amazing Race fans by promising that the racing teams will face one of the most daunting Roadblocks in the show’s history once they arrive in Chile.

American Idol Contestant Wins Then Loses

Definitely a day that qualifies as "Very Bad" for American Idol contestant, Michael Lynche (a.k.a. Big Mike). See, Mike first auditioned for Idol and apparently impressed the judges as he then made it into the top 24. Then, the bad day came along: Mike's dad decided to share with the press that his son had made it to Idol's top 24--a big, huge, giant NO-NO.
And poor Mike's chances at becoming America's next top Idol were over. Just like that.
Hey Mike's dad, didn't you get the memo that singers and their families are supposed to keep the Hollywood week results quiet until they’re broadcast? Kind of let Fox's cat out of the bag there, don't you think?
I wouldn't place too much thought in what Father's Day present you want this year.
So Big Mike was replaced over the weekend, according to The New York Post, who cites Idol spoiler site Joe’s Place.
A bad day. Very bad. For both Mike and his dad, I'm guessing.

And Still More On The "Not True" Brangelina Split

Oh No, say some, they are so not splitting up! Brangelina is strong and fine, and life is good. So says the defenders of Hollywood's Big Name couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Rumors are swirling like crazy, but family and friends of the couple say all is well in "Brangelina -Land."
Some sources say that the parents of six have been seen lately doing all the normal stuff that Celebrity families do, such as movie shoots, family outings, charity work – and all looked fine and dandy with the Jolie-Pitts.
In contrast to the acrimonious dinner/intervention some reports say Pitt held for Angelina on January 6, another source says that on Jan. 2, Pitt, 46, and Jolie, 34, shared a romantic dinner for two at the French restaurant Le Perigord. "You could tell they wanted to spend time alone and didn't want to be bothered by anybody else," says the source. "It was wonderful to see a couple so much in love."
In the last few days, Jolie reportedly flew to New York City for a Vanity Fair photo shoot, while Pitt stayed in L.A. to participate in friend George Clooney’s Hope for Haiti Now telethon. (Both Pitt and Jolie made major donations to the relief effort.) Pitt didn’t attend Saturday's Screen Actors Guild Awards, and no explanation was given, where his Inglourious Basterds won the award for best ensemble cast.
"As The Brangelina World Turns".....we all seem to stay tuned. Even if it is reruns.

Brangelina: Separation Papers Filed (Yawn)

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are legally separating, reports The Sunday Times in London. Legal documents were reportedly filed with a Los Angeles lawyer earlier this month to help with a smooth separation. The powerful Hollywood couple will share joint custody of their three biological children, Shiloh and the twins Knox and Vivienne, as well as three adopted children, Maddox, from Cambodia, Zahara, from Ethiopia, and Pax, from Vietnam. All have the surname Jolie-Pitt.
Pitt and Jolie's relationship have been the subject of rumors for many months, with reports almost daily in tabloids of the Hollywood couple fighting constantly, Brad storming out often, Angie unhappy and losing weight, etc.
Excuse me while I say "wow." (wondering why and if anyone really cares about this 'Brangelina' stuff anymore? And also wondering if we will soon be seeing a Jennifer Aniston/Brad Pitt reunion?). Now back to reported details of the "big split."
When asked about the Brangelina separation on Saturday, associates of both actors declined to comment, one saying it was a "private matter."
Now this bit is interesting (and maybe a bit scary...)
National Enquirer magazine recently had published a story that claimed that Pitt staged a six-hour dinner on January 6 as an intervention to persuade Jolie, 34, to get psychiatric help. The dinner/ intervention, held at a New York restaurant called the Alto, backfired when Pitt and Jolie had one last huge fight. The magazine alleged that Jolie had been severely depressed since the death of her mother from ovarian cancer three years ago, and that the star's weight had since dropped dramatically. It also claimed she had made a suicide attempt. After the Angelina Intervention fiasco, the magazine reported that the couple agreed their relationship was over and "their focus is now on making a smooth transition for their children."

Kellie Pickler: Love The New Short Haircut Or Hate It?

I am not sure....I loved Kellie's long hair (always liked her as a blonde though, so happy the auburn is a color of the past!)
Why the new short 'do for Pickler?
“My hair started falling out!” Pickler explains. “It was so damaged I looked like a scarecrow so I chopped it off!” During her recent USO trip to the Middle East, where she entertained and visited with troops in Iraq and Kuwait, her hair began falling out as a result of transitioning from blonde to red and back again. “I had two choices — look like a scarecrow or cut it,” she says.
And for the record, the singer herself loves the new look!
“Having short hair makes me feel like I set my self apart [style wise] from the other women in country music,” she says. “I remember being in love with Lorrie Morgan’s hairstyles growing up. I’ve always thought she was beautiful and confident.”
And what does her boyfriend, Nashville songwriter Kyle Jacobs, think? “Kyle could care less. He’d love me if I was bald, and vice-versa,” she says. “What he and I have is very special. Unconditional. God blessed me with a good man.”

Charlie Sheen :The Good Husband

A good hubby visiting and comforting his sick wife in the hospital --that is the role Charlie Sheen has taken on the past few days. Despite a protective order against Sheen resulting from his domestic violence arrest on Christmas Day, the Two and a Half Men star has been visiting his wife Brooke Mueller everyday while she is being treated with antibiotics for pneumonia in the intensive care unit of a Los Angeles hospital.
And Brooke's mom says Sheen has been great with her sick daughter.
"Charlie has been great, very attentive and nice to Brooke," her mother, Moira Fiore told People. "He is not even going to the SAG Awards tonight. He wants to be with her."
Mueller, 32, was admitted to the ICU earlier in the week after an infection entered her bloodstream after surgery for an impacted wisdom tooth.
"Brooke's liver and kidneys are better, but doctors are concerned that she still has pneumonia," says Mueller's mother. "She is weak and trying to blow into a plastic tube. She is having trouble doing that."
Due to her illness, the hearing to modify the protective order in an Aspen court has been postponed until Feb. 8.

Glee Wants Jennifer Lopez on the Show
And Jennifer Lopez likes the idea. Even if she plays a cafeteria lady. Show creator Ryan Murphy spoke about having Lopez and other "A" listers on the show, which won a Golden Globes Award for best comedy or musical TV series.
“I have a meeting with Jennifer Lopez in a couple weeks,” Murphy said Sunday night. “She wants to come on. We want her to be a cafeteria lady.” And the word is that other big celebrity names are showing an interest in being on Glee such as Julia Roberts, Julianne Moore, and Justin Timberlake.
Backstage at the awards show Sunday night, Murphy also shared a sneak peek for when the series returns in April:
“We are shooting right now a Madonna episode, a tribute to Madonna,” Murphy says. “She may or may not be in the show. We are doing a great number with Jane Lynch and Olivia Newton-John. They are going to do ‘Physical.’”

Josh, Fergie Retake Marriage Vows

Josh Duhamel is either very romantic or is trying to ease a guilty conscious. Duhamel, 37, whisked Fergie, 34, away via private helicopter from Los Angeles to vow renewal ceremony in Santa Barbara, Calif. Wednesday, according to US Magazine.
During their 15-minute ceremony, held on a bluff overlooking the ocean, Fergie was "crying and very emotional," reported RadarOnline.com. The romance continued after the ceremony when shared a romantic dinner at the resort's upscale Miro eatery, with the restaurant all to themselves.
By the time the first customers came in, Fergie and Josh had left and had headed back to their helicopter to fly back to LA.
It was only in November that a stripper named Nicole Forrester alleged she and Duhamel had an affair while he was shooting the comedy Life As We Know It in Atlanta, a claim both Fergie and Duhamel have denied.
Guilty conscious or romantic gesture?

Conan O'Brien Considering Leaving NBC Over Schedule Dispute

Could be. Since NBC made the decision to cancel Jay Leno's prime time (10pm) show, and move Leno back to the 11:35 PM time slot, Conan has been upset. Justifiably so, don't you think? It has only been 5 months since Conan O'Brien packed up family and crew and moved to LA to take over the Tonight Show when Leno decided he wanted to move to prime time TV. Now NBC wants to play 'change the schedule.'
Aw. Conan doesn't sound too upset to me - what do you think?
Reportedly a source for O'Brien says the comic is anything but happy these days--
stating, "Conan would be happier somewhere else."
And where might that 'somewhere else' be? Apparently there are several options for O'Brien, one of which is Fox.
The Wall Street Journal's Web site reported last night that Conan has already spoken with Fox.
NBC has said Leno's 10 p.m. talk show will end on Feb. 11, with the start of the Winter Olympics.

Marissa Jaret Winokur Dropped as Dancing Judge

It is a shame that appearances can mean so much to network heads: Marissa Jaret Winokur has been dropped as judge of the reality show, 'Dance Your Ass Off.' Spice Girl, Mel B, will be Winokur's replacement.
A rep for Winokur told PEOPLE that the decision to not return for a second season was mutual. “Marissa’s reasons for not returning to season 2 are the following: the format of the program did not allow her to interact with the contestants and offer them encouragement and support, and criticism she received from producers regarding her appearance,” her rep says.
Her appearance?? Shame on you producers.
But of course we hear a slightly different take from the show's producers--
Dan Cutforth, says replacing Winokur was simply a matter of finding someone more relevant to the show’s viewers.
“There was a portion of the audience that absolutely loved [Winokur] and a portion that didn’t connect so much with her,”explains executive producer, Dan Cutforth, “We wanted to find a host that really, really connected with our core audience. The core Oxygen audience grew up Spice Girl fans!”
Yea. Right.

Jay Leno Moving Back To Late Night Time Slot

Jay Leno's prime time show has been canceled. NBC has announced that Leno's nightly prime-time show will end with the beginning of the Winter Olympics on Feb. 12.
But not to worry. Leno will be still be on TV every night. He will be moving back to late-night.
NBC Universal Television Entertainment Chairman Jeff Gaspin wants Leno to do an 11:35 p.m. show each night, a return to his old time slot. He wants Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Fallon's shows to shift back a half hour. While the schedule is not set just yet, Gaspin hopes to have NBC's late-night lineup ready to go by the beginning of the Olympics.
NBC says that while ratings for Leno's prime time show were fine, they were quite not good enough for affiliates.

Howie Mandel Replaces David Hasselhoff at Judges Table

Deal or No Deal host, Howie Mandel, has packed those suitcases up and is heading to America's Got Talent. Mandel will replace former judge, David Hasselhoff.
Hasselhoff' is leaving the NBC show after four seasons to focus on creating his own TV program.
"It's been a rewarding experience and now I'm thrilled to be able to follow my dream to do my own TV show, which will be announced very shortly," the Hoff said in a statement Wednesday.
So Howie will now share judging duties in the fifth season of America's Got Talent with Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne. A good deal for Mandel, as Deal or No Deal was cancelled in 2009.

Celebrity Moms: Marcia Cross Talks Frazzled Mommy Moments
Wisteria Lane is probably far from actress Marcia Cross's mind as she takes her two twin daughters to preschool. Eden and Savannah are as cute as can be, but certainly provide their celebrity mommy with plenty of "frazzled" mommy moments.
Marcia shared her thoughts on being a mom with Celebrity Baby Scoops-
"Omigosh do I ever have frazzled mom moments? What you really should ask me is how many frazzled mom moments do I have in a day, which is like every mom I’m sure. And I have a lot of those frazzled, what do I do now moments where you are being challenged by your 2 ½-year old and you’re thinking ‘I don’t know what to do now…..is this a discipline moment or do I talk to them moment?’ Sometimes I say, ‘let me get your father.’ That’s what I do when I’m really confused and frazzled, but it sounds like I’m really in control like ‘Oh, I’m going to speak to your father about this’ [said in deep, serious voice]. But yah, I’m frazzled a lot, and overwhelmed, and overjoyed and all those things that go together with being a mother. And I think that’s never going to end!”
I love the fact that Eden is missing a shoe -- just like a two and a half year old, isn't it? Actually, just like a kid period. LOL. Frazzled Mommy Moments. Even celebrity mommies have them.

Tamra And Simon Divorce Papers Filed

So Tamra was right about one thing anyway: her marriage is in big trouble. Tamra's husband, Simon Barney, filed for divorce last Thursday, claiming Tamra cheated on him and is verbally abusive.
The couple have been married for 11 years, but a source has told Radar Online that Tamra and Simon have been having severe problems for years but that Tamra was unaware that her husband would be filing divorce papers.
Simon blogged about his marriage problems on his Bravo blog recently, saying:
"Tamra has also made her choices in what she has said on the show this season about me, (her husband). My belief is you should never disparage your spouse to anyone for any reason (especially on national TV). All season long, I have been unpleasantly surprised by some of my wife's comments and conversations about me. I have no idea what she says or has said on camera until it airs. If I'm not present, I don't see these scenes until they air unless she tells me about it. And she never tells me about it."
"My wife has changed in the last few years. (I wonder why???) She is not the same girl I knew three years ago. I really don't know her anymore. And it breaks my heart."
On Friday, Tamra responded to her husband's allegations via Facebook, saying, "Thank you to everyone who understands and supports me. For the record, all accusations are false."
And Tamra has moved out of the couple's million dollar home and is now living in a two bedroom apartment.
Ironic isn't it, that everyone on the show seemed intent on pointing fingers at Vicki Gunvalson's marriage and the supposed problems in it. Last week we saw Vicki and her husband renew their vows. This week we hear Tamra's headed to divorce court.
Ladies, put those fingers down.
Angelina Jolie No Longer Represents Fashion Line

Fashion Brand, St. John, has replaced Angelina Jolie with a new " modern" model, Karen Elson. Does this mean in the fashion world, Angie is a 'has been?' Ouch.
“[Jolie] overshadowed the brand,” chief executive officer Glenn McMahon told WWD. “We wanted to make a clean break from actresses and steer away from blondes and cleanse the palette.”
"We needed to show a modern point of view of St. John. We have evolved.”
Ouch. (again).

Gumby Creator Art Clokey Passes Away

Gumby creator Art Clokey passed away Friday in Los Osos. Clokey was 89.
Clokey first molded Gumby was first created as a student project by Clokey at the University of Southern California. That led to Clokey making shorts for the "Howdy Doody Show" and several series through the years.

Subway's Jared Gains Some Weight and a New Fiance

Remember Jared Fogle from Subway? The guy lost an incredible amount of weight and credited the sandwich shop with his weight loss. Jared is back on magazines lately, with headlines pointing out the fact that he has gained some weight back.
Jared does admit he has put back about 40 lbs. or so, but has plenty of motivation now to slim back down once again: He is getting married!
The sandwich chain spokesperson proposed to his girlfriend, Katie McLaughlin, a teacher,in November. The two plan to marry sometime this coming summer. But before the wedding, Jared has some working out to do. He is on a 2,000-calorie-a-day diet that still includes some of his favorite snacks ("Different flavor pretzels are my big thing"), and is also training for a marathon this fall.
"I look at it as a little bit of a hiccup," Fogle says of his recent weight gain, which resulted from "not exercising as much as I should have and not paying attention to what I was eating." He adds, "I'm going to look darn good in those wedding pictures!"
(Ok, great. Now I am craving a Subway sandwich.)

Charlie Sheen Loses His Underwear

His underwear commercial deal with Hanes that is. Were you hoping I had a more juicy story to share? Nope, sorry. Word is that Hanes has pulled commercials featuring him and basketball star Michael Jordan over the holidays.
The ads for the "Comfort soft" line of Hanes undershirts were last scheduled to air on Jan. 1 of this year, according to a Hanes brands spokesperson, but after the arrest most of the commercials disappeared.
Sheen had been contracted with Hanes for a year; Jordan has been a longtime celebrity spokesperson for the underwear brand. Prior to Sheen joining Jordan in commercials, a popular string of them with Cuba Gooding Jr. ran for two years; Sarah Chalke also had ads that ran for a year (very cute ads too).
Who will Hanes be putting their underwear on now??

Kate's New 'Do

I have to admit, I love Kae Goesslin's new look! Out with the short, and in with the long extensions. So how long did it take for Kate's transformation? Just about 20 hours. What a difference though.
Celebrity hairstylist Ted Gibson meticulously added hundreds of extensions to Kate’s hair last week, when the mom of eight decided to make a change to her look after her divorce to Jon became final.
And Kate is loving her long hair now--
“I know this will be more upkeep than my old look, but I’m ready for it. I’m just grateful I don’t have to go through the awkward growing-out process of short hair. I get criticized for everything I do enough as it is!”
Just how hard will it be to take care of all those extensions??
