Baby News In Hollywood Today-- The View's Elisabeth Hasselbeck

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is pregnant with baby number 3.

An excited Hasselbeck announced her pregnancy on the The View's Thursday show. She and hubby, Tim Hasselbeck of the Seattle Seahawks, are parents to 15-month-old Taylor Thomas and 3-year-old Grace Elisabeth.

When the subject of the recent births of eight babies to an anonymous Southern California was being discussed on the show Thursday morning,the View's co-host shared her pregnancy news, and told everyone that it came as a surprise to her and her husband. Elisabeth Hasselbeck explained that getting pregnant the first two times was difficult. But not so this time around--Hasslebeck declared she and her husband "were shocked that we got pregnant."

"We are thankful for such great news and will begin planning our zone defense strategy immediately," Elisabeth said.

Apparently all the recent excitement over the Presidential Election was so over-whelming that Hasselbeck didn't even realize she was pregnant for two months. As she put it, "I didn't even know for two months — I was walking around — I thought I had — I kept saying, ‘Electionitis, electionitis."


The new baby is due in August, and Elisabeth told her boss, "I'm due in August. I'll try to pop this one out before we leave [on summer hiatus], Barbara."

Jessica's Weight Heating Up The Internet

Heating up the blogosphere and television airwaves this past week has been the "misguided" attention ,shall we politely say, that has been given to Jessica Simpson's weight.

As Ashlee Simpson wrote in her blog this past week, "...I find it completely embarrassing and belittling to all women to read about a woman's weight or figure as a headline on Fox News."

Petty people. Petty minds. Why does Simpson's curves need to be an issue of debate?

Catherine Bach ( The original "Daisy Duke" ) also shared her thoughts on the weight issue swirling around Jessica Simpson--

"I think it's a shame that Jessica has been viciously attacked for superficial reasons," Bach told Entertainment Tonight,
"It sends a bad message to our young girls that in order to fit in, you have to be skinny and your outfits better make you look skinny, too. What I hope my daughters are learning from me is to respect themselves, honor their bodies, and show compassion and kindness towards others."

Toned and Fit Britney Ready To Tour Again

Britney Spears is toned and flashing some abs that make us a tad green. Fine--a lot green. Those abs took some hard work on Spear's part however--so the girl deserves her dues.
Spears has posted some rehearsal pictures on BritneySpears.com, that show the singer clapping and working up a sweat with her crew. Britney's world tour kicks off March 3 in her home state of Louisiana.

Donny Osmond Follows In His Sister's Dancing Shoes

"The Cat Is Out Of The Bag!" so says Donny Osmond. OOPS! Wonder how the DWTS execs feel about Donny Osmond's reveal on The Bonnie Hunt TV Show?

The upcoming season's contestant line up for Dancing With Stars has not been officially announced by ABC. But that didn't stop a smiling Donny Osmond from making it known that he will indeed be following in his sister's, Marie Osmond's, dancing shoes.

During a Monday taping of the Bonnie Hunt show, Donny admitted he would be a contestant on Dancing With The Stars-

"I can't let my sister upstage me. Besides, who do you think taught her how to dance?" he joked.

But it may be that the higher ups at ABC are not too pleased with this early reveal-- when Access Hollywood contacted ABC, a rep simply said they do not comment on casting rumors.

The Final Five On The Bachelor

And then there were five. On tonight's bachelor, Jason chose not to give out the final rose, ending three wannabe "Mrs. Jasons" hopes.

Bachelor Jason could have given out the final rose, thus keeping his bevy of vying bachelorettes at six. But gosh darn it, Jason is a good guy. A considerate sort of a fellow. He could not "lead anyone on" that he knew he did not see as potential wife material. So the final rose stayed on the table, and three not two disappointed ladies departed the mansion tonight.

So, before we recap who left rose-less tonight, let's recap a bit.

The remaining bachelorettes at the start of tonight's show were, in no particular order, were:
Molly
Stephanie
Lauren
Melissa
Naomi
Shannon
Nikki
Megan
Jillian

To start things off, Chris has the remaining nine bachelorettes sing for the chance to have a solo date with Jason. Molly wins the bachelor's approval and the one on one date. The other girls turn weird shades of green.

Jason treats Molly to a quiet simple date at home. It goes well. Very well. Molly gets a rose and an invitatation to "camp out overnight" with Jason and the tent he has set up. Of course the delighted Molly accepts, and we see the tent being zippered closed and we hear what sounds to be kissing ensue. Molly returns jubilant and in Jason's clothes the next morning. The other girls turn a weirder and darker shade of green. They all wish they were Molly. They all wish they were wearing Jason's clothes. (editorial opinion, please note--though I know I am right!).

Next, Jason takes a group date ( Molly, Naomi, Jillian, Megan, Lauren, and Shannon ) to the set of General Hospital, where Jason and the girls get to act out scenes-- director and all. Basically, what transpires are make-out sessions for Jason, one girl after the next. As the girls all are treated to watching each other take their turns with the kissing fool, oops I mean the wonderful Jason, the jealousy in the room threatens to bring every girl/woman/huntress to tears.

Finally, the smooch fest is over, and Jason and his swarm head off to party. But the girls are so emotional by this point, that no one feels much like partying. After all, each is now passionately in love with the great Jason, and to have to watch "their future husband" even pretend to kiss other women is simply hurtful beyond measure. Jason felt so bad. Did I mention that yet? Well, he really felt bad.
He felt even worse when he handed out the one coveted rose of that night to Naomi. Cautiously, he asked the other girls if they were all ok after that. With looks that could kill, literally, the remaining rose-less girls mumbled they were fine. Phew. End of first date.

The next night brought the evil date where two women go out with Jason, but only one woman returns. The two "lucky" women were Stephanie (always cool as a cucumber that one!),and Nikki. Remember Nikki--she got the infamous 'first impression rose' the first night? Well, no matter if you do not remember. She no longer impressed Jason, and despite her best efforts at dancing, went home instead of back to the mansion. As Nikki bemoaned her fate in the limo and questioned the cameras, "how much prettier do I need to be?", we found ourselves wondering what the answer was to that eternal question also. So now we know Stephanie, Molly and Naomi are still in the running to be "Mrs. Jason".

And finally we are at the rose ceremony night. No one looks too happy. Especially pensive looking (and might I add, "psycho" looking) are Shannon and Megan. Turns out they had a right to look that way. Was that a hint? OOPS.

So we get to the dramatic climax. Roses have been poignantly handed out to Melissa and Jillian. That leaves one rose and three hungry women. This is the moment Jason decides he must do the honorable thing, not give out the last rose after all, but instead send Megan, Shannon and Lauren home. What a guy. Probably a smart move really though, um considering. I mean, after hearing a disappointed but accepting Shannon tell us her plans upon her not so triumphant return home--which apparently involve an electric toothbrush and giving her puppy dog "lots of French kisses" (ew.) um, I think Jason may have just made a very smart decision!

So next week we will see the "Final Five" visit Jason in his hometown. Will it also be the episode where DeAnna appears to give Jason some sage advice (or maybe to offer Jason another chance with her special self, since she has decided Jesse is not right for her after all...and Jason is still available...) We do not know for sure. But previews lead us to believe DeAnna very well may be on next week. Joy.

And so ends another scintillating episode of this season's The Bachelor.

Rachel Giffiths To Stay On Yellow Team

The actress, starring in Brothers and Sisters, will not be finding out if baby number three is a boy or a girl.

Griffiths and her husband, Andrew Taylor did find out with son Banjo and daughter Adelaide Rose, and have decided this time they will wait and be surprised in the delivery room.

The baby is due July, and Griffiths pregnancy will not be written into the show, Brothers and Sisters we are told.

DeAnna Pappas--Ex-Bachelorette, Ex-Fiancee, TV Co-Host

DeAnna Pappas has been busy. Since her stint as the Bachelorette, she has been engaged and "dis"engaged to Jesse ("winning contestant on The Bachelorette), and now co-hosts lifetime's, "Get Married". But what is probably bringing DeAnna the most attention these days is her anticipated return to his season's The Bachelor.

That is because (in case you have not watched ABC's Bachelor/Bachelorette series, or may have forgotten), this season's Bachelor, Jason, is the same Jason who had his heart trampled by the DeAnna Pappas when she was the Bachelorette. That was when she picked Jesse over Jason, and ended Jason's dreams of a "Happy ever After" with DeAnna.

Safe to say, we think, is that DeAnna did not rate as one of TV viewers favorites when she appeared as the Bachelorette. Let's say she pretty much rubbed people the wrong way. Maybe not everyone, but definitely many (according to DG's perusal of message boards at the time. So it is interesting that DeAnna will be returning to visit Jason as he reigns as Bachelor this season.

The question on most minds, is why Pappas is returning. Will it be to simply give advice to Jason? To attemot to regain Jason's affections? Could she be regretting her decision to pick Jesse over Jason? Did DeAnna simply want more publicity (naw!), or did The Bachelor execs see a chance to improve ratings by bringing back the controversial bachelorette?

We will have to wait and see. Shucks.

What's Hot On TV Tonight?

"Loving Leah" is reportedly a movie that if you are wondering what to watch tonight, this would be one to put on your list.

In “Loving Leah,” a Hallmark Hall of Fame TV Movie, a non religious man (Adam Kaufman) is pressured to honor an ancient Jewish custom by marrying his late brother’s widow (Lauren Ambrose) so that the deceased’s name will continue on. How's that for tradition? The alternative would be to deny his brother's existence, so he agrees to do it, provided the relationship is strictly platonic.

Ricki Lake also stars as a rabbi, and Mercedes Ruehl plays Jake's mother. DG has heard through the grapevine that tonight's airing of Loving Leah will be the first outing for Ruehl's new facelift (just rumor now-- )

Miley Cyrus enjoyed a sushi dinner with pal(boyfriend??)20-year-old Justin Gaston, but does her heart still belong to a certain Jonas brother? In a YouTube video earlier this week. Cyrus staed that she still loves her ex Nick Jonas, whom she performed with at an inauguration concert earlier in the week.

Skinny Tori Heads Back To Beverly Hills

Um..so where where did Tori Spelling's baby weight go so quickly? DG would really like to know! We are not turning green or anything (yea, ok--maybe a shade of olive)but darn this mom of two sure shed those extra baby belly pounds fast.

Baby Stella was born in June, and Tori and her hubby Dean also have adorable 2 year old Liam. Spelling is getting set to rejoin her 90210 cast mates once again, in the revamped new edition of the Beverly Hills series, and it looks like Tori intends to make her debut a stand out one!

Tori spoke with In Touch Magazine about her work out/diet regime after bay Stella's birth:

'Breakfast was yogurt, fruit and nuts. Lunch was homemade soup with a sweet potato or soy milk base. We’d snack on celery and peanut butter, and then I’d make lean protein with vegetables for dinner.

'I would go for long walks or biking with the kids. We’d do physical activities every day.

'I’m proud! I could’ve gotten here sooner if I was fanatical and worked out extensively every day, but I’m glad I didn’t. I’m so happy I did it with my family and in a healthy way.'

Baby News In Hollywood Today-- Molly Ringwald

Twins--it's Twins! The exciting news was shared by actress Molly Ringwald on the set of her television show, "The Secret Life of the American Teenager".

The twins are reported to be a little boy and a little girl, and are due in August. Ringwald, 40, and her husband, Panio Gianopoulos, 33, have a five year old daughter, Mathilda Ereni.

Molly Ringwald plays the mother of a pregnant teen in "The Secret Life..", and word is that Ringwald's pregnancy will be written into the show. We love that--so tired of baby bellys being covered by heavy coats and tables. This should be much more exciting.

Secret Life's second season airs on Monday nights on ABC Family.

Suspects Arrest, Questioning in Travolta Case

There really are no words to describe.....

An extortion plot against John Travolta and Kelly Preston was reportedly foiled after Travolta filed a compliant of attempted extortion with authorities.

The exact nature of the extortion is not clear, but it revolved around the death of Jon and Kelly's son, Jett.

Sen. Pleasant Bridgewater, an attorney from Grand Bahama, was arrested on Thursday. She was charged with abetment to extort and conspiracy to extort and released Friday on $40,000 bail, according to Assistant Superintendent of Police Loretta Mackey.

We have also heard reports of Member of Parliament Obie Wilchcombe, a former minister of tourism and a friend of the Travolta family, being questioned at police headquarters in Freeport, where Bridgewater was under arrest, but it is not known if there has been an arrest involving Wilchcombe or not.

Also being questioned is ambulance driver Tarino Lightbourne. Reports say that Lightbourne was still in custody late Friday night.

Katherine Heigl No Longer Most Desirable

In 2008, Katherine Heigl was number one on the infamous ASK MEN's 99 Most Desirable Women List.

In 2009, Heigl has fallen from number one, and it was a hard fall--all the way down to number 81. OUCH.

The 99 Most Desirable Women list is determined by AskMen.com's readers and staff. They are asked to asked to look beyond sex appeal and beauty as they vote for women who have the characteristics they value most in a potential companion, like intelligence, humor, charisma and ambition.

Britney Spears has not seen her name on that list since 2005. But Spears has secured a place on the most desirable women list this year--- number 90.

99th on the list is actress/comedienne Tina Fey.

And who is number one on ASK MEN's 99 Most Desirable Women List?? NOT Angelina Jolie (Brad Pitt's Other Half ranked #42-aw.), and not Beyonce (#50).....give up?


The number one spot went to actress Eva Mendes.

Inauguration Gown Michelle Obama Wore Unexpected Surprise To Designer Jason Wu

Young and now instantly famous Jason Wu did not know that the First Lady, Michelle Obama, was going to wear Wu's gown to the Inauguration Ball on Tuesday night.

Can you imagine his shock and joy when the glamorous First Lady appeared on stage in Wu's dress? According to the designer himself, he was with friends eating pizza when they watched Michelle Obama emerge in the white gown. Wu says he and his friends started screaming when he realized it was his gown the First Lady was wearing.

Wu -- who has never met the First Lady -- told US Magazine he was first approached last November. He was told Michelle "wanted something that sparkled. That was it," he said. "I just went for it."

A month later the young designer handed in the dress he had made and simply hoped for the best. And the best he got Tuesday night as he and America watched Michelle Obama dance the first dance in Jason Wu's beautiful white gown.

And the reviews have been overwhelming positive for Wu's dress. Designers have been showering praise and approval for the gown and the First Lady who looked radiant in Jason Wu's infamous creation.

Dancing With The Stars Gossip

DWTS rumors say that Cindy McCain was approached to put on her dancing shoes and join the next season of Dancing With Stars. According to the New York Post's Page Six,
Cindy wanted to be a part of the show "very badly," but husband Sen. John McCain "put the kibosh on it."

Another rumored celebrity approached to do some dancing is legendary singer Stevie Wonder. The singer reportedly told 104.3 MYFM radio jock Valentine, "It's not impossible."
But as far as DG knows, nothing has been confirmed at this point.

Misty May-Treanor is another name being mentioned as once again joining DWTS. Treanor's first trip to the dance floor competition was cut short last by an injury to her ankle that resulted in surgery.

Dancing With The Stars returns Monday March 9th.

Valentines Day Divorce For Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony?

This is rumor/speculation at this point, but DG is hearing that divorce ala Valentines Day may be in the cards for Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony.

The two have been seen several times alone and minus wedding rings, and the rumors are flying around Hollywood that divorce is imminent for Lopez and Anthony.

According to the Daily News, a friend of the couple shared that --

“Marc and Jennifer are planning on announcing their divorce right after Marc’s show at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 14. Jennifer is planning on joining Marc onstage for a surprise duet. Things haven’t been right for a while now, and they thought it would be a bittersweet farewell."

The couple are parents to 10-month old twins Max and Emme and have been married for four years. This is Jennifer’s third marriage.

What is Number One at The Box Office This Weekend?

Give some respect to the rent-a cops at malls everywhere please! The number one movie this weekend was none other than "Paul Blart: Mall Cop".

Starring the bumbling and stumbling (and very funny) Kevin James, "Mall Cop" made $33.8 million in its first three days, and is expected to reach $40 million over the Martin Luther King Jr . holiday weekend. Not bad money for a rent-a cop, eh?

James plays the hefty shopping center security guard who tries to foil a bank heist threatening his beloved mall.

"Paul Blart: Mall Cop" displaces Clint Eastwood's "Gran Torino ," which dropped to second place but only by 25 percent. Coming in at number 3 is " My Bloody Valentine 3-D ". The horror movie opened at the No. 3 spot with $21.9 million.

Fourth was "Notorious," about Slain rapper Notorious B.I.G ., portrayed in the movie, Notorious", made $21.5 million this weekend as it ranked number 4 on the box office lists.

And rounding out the top five movies this weekend was the new wide release, the Paramount family comedy "Hotel for Dogs," opened at No. 5 with $17.7 million.

Drinking, Plotting, Snarky Housewives Of Orange County

So DG is a faithful watcher of all things Housewives. And as we all know, currently the Orange County Housewives have the stage (or our TV screens) every Tuesday night.

This past Tuesday had an episode that has turned OC Housewives message boards into frenzied free for alls. If you missed the last episode, DG will provide a brief recap--

Basically we watched Tamra lose all control of her jealousy towards Gretchen. How was this loss of control portrayed? Tamra decided she needed to show off her newly obtained etiquette skills (??) by hosting a formal dinner party for all the housewives. Of course Gretchen's fiance was at the time in the hospital fighting cancer. Sadly, Gretchen's fiance has since passed away.

Tamra shares with housewife Vicki that she has plans to get Gretchen drunk--seriously drunk. Apparently this is in order to get Gretchen to cheat on her ill fiance with none other than Tamra's not so wonderful son, Ryan (can we say "YUCK!?). And really kind of nasty is that Simon, the questionable husband of the green and getting greener all the time Tamra, seems to be in on the plan and helps it along by coaxing Gretchen to have more shots of tequila.

What transpires is a lot of drinking by Gretchen, and Ryan (shudder) making the most of the opportunity to sidle next to and grope on Gretchen. Nice. But what many viewers are debating is whether Gretchen was truly drunk, or acting a prepared role, shall we say, at the direction of producers? Either way, NASTY stuff going down.

In the end, we see a drunken (?) Gretchen heading to the bathroom with the vulture Ryan in hot pursuit. Viewers will supposedly find out on Tuesday's upcoming episode what really happens. But again--spoilers from message boards are saying the deed was indeed done. But we do not know for sure, and maybe never will.

On Tamra's blog, she tells her side of the story. That being that she drunkenly made the comment to Vicki about getting Gretchen drunk and crew overheard it and ran with it. Tamra further claims that she herself went shot for shot with Gretchen, and was drunk as most everyone was at the party. Ryan, she claims, did not do anything much more than keep Gretchen from falling down once, and rolled his eyes at everyone. Simon apparently kept Ryan under control when Gretchen would flirt with him, called taxis for everyone when they went home (including Ryan), and stayed up with Gretchen after the party, making her something to eat and talking about what her fiance was going through. Tamra herself, she admits, was "hugging the toilet bowl" all night. There was no plotting says Tamra, and she has no bad feelings towards Gretchen.

Hmmm.

Baby News In Hollywood Today--Ann Heche

It's a boy for actress Ann Heche. Heche and her boyfriend, James Tupper,announced the pregnancy in December.

Heche and Tupper were spotted in Utah at the Sundance Festival, and observers noted Ann shopping for baby things.

The happy couple announced the baby is a little boy, and they couldn't be happier.

Amy Winehouse Says No Divorce

A girl's just gotta have fun, right? So Amy Winehouse has supposedly been doing just that as she vacations on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia.

And if having fun means having someone along to have fun with....well....so it goes, right? Pictures have been coming out recently of Amy with rugby player Josh Bowman having some "fun in the sun" together.

For some reason, these photos and alleged affair going on between Rugby and Winehouse have not sat well with Amy's husband, Blake Fielder-Civil. Of course, Blake is currently (once again) sitting in a jail cell after breaching his bail conditions while in rehab in November.

But news is that Blake is mad. Very mad. And wants a divorce from his vacationing wife.

And Amy's feelings on divorce? Not gonna happen. While the troubled (putting it mildly now) singer is playing and relaxing right now in sunny St. Lucia, she plans to "stand by her man" once he is released from jail.

Oh yea. She will stand by him as long as he comes to her. Winehouse has no plans to return to England. I guess she will be waiting on the beach for her man (sans Ruby, we wonder?), and is fairly confident Blake will show. After all, according to Winehouse, ""I love him because he's just like me," Amy added. "Blake is the male version of me. We're perfect for each other."

One more thing. While Amy may acknowledge her hubby may not be too pleased with his wife playing with a friend on the beach, she points out, ""While Blake is in jail I'm still gonna have a good time -- he can't do much about it," she told the Sun. "But once he comes out we'll be together again."

Blake...hurry out of jail now. Your woman is waiting for ya!

Madonna Picture May Be Auctioned For $10,000

Madonna apparently took some nude pictures to earn a bit of money back when she was 20 years old. And the pictures? They were sans clothes--yep. Madonna made a cool 25.00 modeling fee for the pictures back then--but today one of those pictures is on auction at Christies.com that is expected to sell for $10,000.

The full frontal image was taken by Lee Friedlander and appeared in Playboy in 1985. According to reports, six photos from the shoot were sold to Playboy and the one up for auction Feb. 12 is "maybe the most explicit one."

Baby News In Hollywood Today--Rachel Griffiths

Rachel Griffiths, the actress starring in ABC's Brothers and Sisters, is expecting baby number 3! We love Griffith in Brothers and Sisters--really enjoy her stressed out single mom character who fights hard for what she believes but has a very soft side too.

Rachel and her husband, Andrew Taylor have two children now, 3 year old daughter Adelaide Rose, and 5 year old son Banjo Patrick.

So will the pregnancy be written into Brothers and Sisters TV Show? According to inside sources from the show Rachel Griffith's character will not be pregnant. The show will be wrapped up by the time Griffith hits her third trimester.

Patrick Swayze Released From The Hospital

Patrick Swayze is back at home after being released from the hospital. The actor, who is fighting pancreatic cancer, had checked himself into the hospital Jan. 9th was found to be suffering from pneumonia.

Some Losers From The Golden Globes

Miss Golden Globe, aka Rumer Willis, did a great job handing out the golden awards...she smiled, laughed, looked pretty, and was discreet at the same time. So what was mom Demi Moore's problem? Moore apparently thought herself to be a cute wise mommy when she appeared on stage to present an award--but we here at DG thought she was more like a foolish critical mother. Demi first mentioned how "proud" she was of daughter Rumer, but then merrily proceeded to scold the poor thing in front of the entire audience by telling Rumer to "not hunch" and to "keep her shoulders back!". Ack. Demi--you looked very pretty but acted very petty in front of everyone. Not cute. Not funny. Not loving. Bad choice and bad timing. Yes--let's try and humiliate our children in public and in front of TV cameras. Nice job Demi.

Some surprises at the Golden Globes tonight..... a night for the underdogs indeed!

Desperate Gossip picks for favorite awards/moments from the show:
Tina Fey's Speech when the actress/comedienne won Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy. The 30 Rock gleefully told several Internet critics to "suck it" when she won her award. Fey called out several names of her most outspoken critics who bash the actress on message boards and Internet sites. Slap. Ouch.

Loved the emotional and disbelieving Kate Winslet as she won not one but two big categories: Best Supporting Actress for The Reader, and Best Actress for Revolutionary Road. We loved it here when Kate gushed on about her fellow nominees in the category of Best Actress - Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Kristin Scott Thomas and then asked, "and who's the other one? Angelina" Camera showed Angie's face at that moment--LOL--did I mention DG loved loved that moment?

Not too unpredictable was the bittersweet win by the late Heath Ledger in the category of Best Supporting Actor for his role as the Joker in Dark Knight. Ledger had tough competition with actors Tom Cruise, Robert Downey Jr., Ralph Fiennes and Philip Seymour Hoffman as fellow nominees. Accepting the award for Ledger — who died last January of an accidental overdose of prescription medication in his home in New York City — was the film's director, Christopher Nolan, who said that Ledger "will never be forgotten."

And the audience reaction to the Best Actor win by Mickey Rourke for "The Wrestler, was nothing short of surprised approval and excitement. Following all the applause and excitement, Rourke gave a speech that was funny, honest, sometimes irreverent and endearing, all rolled into one. DG especially liked Rouke's thanking his dogs, both past and present pets included. He is right...sometimes a dog is the best friend you have when all is said and done. Yea for Mickey's comeback!

The honor of handing out the Golden Globe Statues at tonight's award show goes to Rumer Willis. The 19 year old daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore says she is "excited" and not at all nervous about her duties at the show tonight.

Fergie and Josh Tie The Knot

Congratulations to Fergie and Josh Duhamel! The super cute couple became Mr. and Mrs. on Saturday evening.

The ceremony was described as extremely private and was held at the Church Estates Vineyards in Malibu, Calif.

According to US Magazine, among those witnessing the wedding of Fergie and Josh were The Black-Eyed Peas. Other guests at the private wedding includedAmong the invited guests were Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell, Mario Lopez, Stacy Keibler, Kid Rock, Slash, Kate Hudson (Fergie's costar in her upcoming movie Nine), Duhamel's Las Vegas costars James Caan, Molly Sims and Vanessa Marcil.

The theme was black and white--with bridesmaid in black dresses and groomsmen in black suits and white ties. Fergie wore a fitted, white ruched, corseted wedding gown with a mesh tulle overlay, spaghetti straps and a long train designed by Dolce & Gabbana. And what bride doesn't love diamonds? Fergie sure does-- The singer was draped in millions of dollars worth of one-of-a-kind diamonds by H.Stern according to reports. Duhamel wore Dolce and Gabbana, as did all the wedding party.

Fergie and Josh exchanged H.Stern rings, with each band engraved with special personal messages by the bride and groom. Her engagement ring had a round, 4-carat brilliant cut diamond set amid other diamonds, with colors ranging from white to cognac. A narrow colored diamond wedding band was designed to match. Duhamel's ring was made of 18K white gold with a brush finish.

And pre-wedding jitters for the Bride? Probably not. Last month Fergie said in an interview that married life won't be so different for them.

"We're practically married, anyway," she said. "I'm madly in love with him. He understands how to treat a woman and give me respect."

Baby News In Hollywood Today

Charlotte Church is the happy momma this morning to a new baby boy! Church delivered the baby boy just after midnight on Sunday January 11th, with boyfriend Gavin Henson at her side in their farmhouse home. The singer was 10 days overdue and we have heard that she may have been eating a lot of curry to help start labor.
Welcoming her new little brother is big sister Ruby, the couple's 15 month old daughter. Maybe Ruby can help mom and dad pick out a name for the little guy.

Dirty Dancing's Jennifer Grey?

Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey heated up the dance floors (not to mention many fans as well!) with their dancing moves in their hit movie, "Dirty Dancing". Who did not feel for Grey's character, Baby, in the movie? And who didn't want to be Babe in that movie and in Patrick Swayze's arms??

Before "Dirty Dancing" fame, Jennifer Gray played the extremely obnoxious sister of Matthew Broderick in Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

But what has happened to Jennifer Grey since her dancing days? A bad nose job. True. Jennifer had rhinoplasty done in the early 1990's. The plastic surgery was so unsuccessful, Grey underwent a second surgery shortly after the first one. The actress has said that her face change was so dramatic that even some close friends didn't recognize her. The new nose may have changed Grey's looks for the better, but also seemed to change her acting career--but not for the better.
According to the Dirty Dancing star, her career took a nose-dive after she was no longer recognized.
Grey was briefly engaged at times to Matthew Broderick and Johnny Depp. She also dated George Stephanopoulos. The actress married actor/director Clark Gregg (The New Adventures of Old Christine) on July 21, 2001, and they have a daughter Stella. The couple co-starred in the Lifetime movie Road to Christmas in 2006. Grey lives in Los Angeles, California, with her family, and continues to act in made for TV films.

Brad Pitt "Jen is a Sweetheart"

The whole Brad Pitt, Angelina, Jen thing is highly over rated, don't you think? But there is one positive note worth a mention here--Brad Pitt has said some very nice things about Jenifer Aniston, and well he should.
Brad Pitt is on the cover of W Magazine this month, and did his best to put an end to the outrageously over played "dispute" between Angie and Jen.
The friction was started when Jen called Angelina “uncool” for talking about falling in love with Brad on the set of their movie “Mr. and Mrs. Smith”-- so since Brad was/is the so-called "man in the middle"--I guess it would be only fitting he finally speak up.

“Listen, man, Jen is a sweetheart,” “I think she got dragged into that one, and then there’s a second round to all of that Angie versus Jen. It’s so created. We still check in with each other. She was a big part of my life, and me hers. I don’t see how there cannot be [that]. That’s life, man. That’s life.”

Applause and a sigh of relief. Seriously. There is so much more to life than Brad, Angie and Jen. So can this be over now? DG sure hopes so.

John Travolta Cancels Golden Globes Appearance

As pretty much expected, John Travolta has decided to cancel his scheduled appearance on Sunday night's Golden Globes Award Show. Travolta and his wife, Kelly Preston, held a memorial service on Thursday for their son, Jett, who passed away from a seizure disorder on Jan. 2nd.
Among those attending the private memorial in Ocala, Florida were Lisa Marie Presley , Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood and Kirstie Alley.
Travolta's animated movie Bolt is nominated for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for the duet he did with Miley Cyrus entitled "I Thought I Lost You."

Congratulations to Why Did I Get Married? star Jill Scott. The busy actress has announced she is pregnant with her first baby. Scott is a three-time Grammy Award winner, and recently completed filming HBO’s The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency. I give Jill Scott kudos for managing to work on a movie while dealing with some serious morning sickness!
The baby is due April 25th, and will also be the first for Jill’s fiancé, drummer Lil’ John Roberts.

And it's a boy! for actor Gael Garcia Bernal. The star of Motorcycle Diaries star Gael Garcia Bernal, 30, and his girlfriend, Argentinian actress Dolores Fonzi, 30, welcomed their new son yesterday in Madrid.
The baby is the first for both Bernal and Fonzi.
