Toni Braxton Has Benign Tumor Removed

Dancing With The Stars contestant Toni Braxton had a benign tumor removed from her breast shortly after being eliminated from DWTS. Braxton knew about the growth before she began competing on Dancing With The Stars, but with assurances from doctors that the growth was likely benign, the singer decided to go ahead with the show.

And if that wasn't enough, Toni Braxton also danced away Monday nights while dealing with a heart condition called microvascular angina, which involves poor functioning of blood vessels that nourish the heart and can cause breathing problems.

Wow. That is pretty impressive in DG's book!

Baby Times Two For Ricky Martin

Double fun for new dad Ricky Martin! The singer shows off his twin baby boys Valentino and Matteo. Martin chose surrogacy over adoption when he decided he wanted to be a dad, as he explains in an interview he gave PEOPLE magazine. And as for help with the twins, this new daddy is handling everything from diaper duty to 3am wake up calls solo!

Baby News In Hollywood Today

Ryan and Trista are expecting...a little PINK bundle of joy!! Woohoo! DG happily reports that the former "Bachelorette" Trista and her gorgeous hubby Ryan, have announced that they are pregnant with baby number two!

The couple, in case you are not nor ever have been a fan of The Bachelor, met on The Bachelorette in 2002. They married in grand TV style in 2003. Trista and Ryan have a little boy, Max who is 16 months old. The newest "bachelorette baby" is due some time in April.

Idol Producers Dismiss Paula's Pleas

American Idol Producers dismissed Paula Abdul's pleas to not let an obsessed fan into auditions for the show's fifth season, and ushered in the fan anyway. This is according to Paula herself.

Restraining orders had been written out against Paula Goodspeed, who had allegedly been stalking and harassing the American Idol judge for the last 17 years. According to Paula Abdul, she objected to producers bringing Goodspeed into the audition room, telling them that the girl was a stalker of Abdul. But producers felt the entertainment value was too high to heed Abdul's objections, and let Paula Goodspeed in.

Police discovered Goodspeed dead of an apparent suicide outside of Abdul's home on November 11th.

Why is Grey's Anatomy Letting an Actor Leave?

DG is bummed. It is looking pretty certain that T.R. Knight (or better known as Dr. George O'Malley) is indeed leaving Grey's Anatomy.

Why Dr. George? The answer is not too clear except that Knight has apparently not been too happy with the direction his character has been going. And though Dr. George O'Malley has three years left in his contract, sources are saying that Knight has asked the network to be released, and ABC is saying fine.

Sigh. We will miss George. A lot. But we wish him well if he does hand in his stethoscope and heads out the doors.

Atlanta Housewives Newest Drama

DG loves NeNe...make no mistake. We are biased and unashamedly so. Further more, NeNe, we don't care where you live, just keep on being NeNe.

Now, on to the latest Atlanta Housewives news...

It is being reported on different sites that Atlanta Housewife, NeNe Leaks and her husband, Gregg, were forced to move from their home due to being behind about $6,000 in rent.

What does the NENE have to say? "Without wasting time on the details, the only thing I will say is that we were NOT evicted," NeNe said. "Everybody knows that I like to be honest, real and upfront. If something was wrong, I would tell you!" DG is applauding.

Nene has spoken out further and said their home "was a lease purchase corporate deal with Greg & his company. Things didn't work out between the two of them so they did what they had to do and he did what he had to do." And, the outspoken Atlanta Housewife has cautioned viewers of the show, "You don't know my relationship with Greg," she said, "so be careful what you report!"

3. George Clooney shaved off his mustache at the star studded fund raiser Clooney held Thursday night to raise money for the victims of Darfur. Shaving his mustache was part of the event and intended to help raise money.

4. Speaking of charities and celebrities...Brad Pitt has started a charity to build homes in New Orleans.

5. Oprah Winfrey is not planning to work with Barack Obama anytime soon, but has taken residence at the top of the list of 100 most influential women in the entertainment industry.

6. Happy Birthday Britney Spears. The pop star turned 26 and celebrated with an appearance on the Today Show.

7. Host of Bravo's Top Chef, Padma Lakshmi, has announced she will be leaving the show after this season.

8. The Jonas Brothers will soon be one brother short...Kevin Jonas has announced his plans to leave the band and start out on his own. The remaining Jonas Brothers gave big bro Kevin their support.


Too easy? Got them all? Just in case, here's the skinny...

1. Yep. So true. At least according to all the media reports. Seems that Alex Rodriguez first spent time with his two small daughters and ex-wife Thanksgiving Day, and in the afternoon left to go to Madonna's where his car was parked until the following morning. Just friends, eh? Right.

2. Did DG getcha? Pratt and Montag eloped but in New Mexico, not Las Vegas. As for the family Christmas plans? Not so much with Heidi Montag's family. Seems Spencer Pratt's new mother-n-law made comments about Pratt drugging her daughter Heidi and whisking her off to elope, and stating the marriage is "the biggest mistake Heidi ever made." So Christmas with the Montags looks like it is called off.

3. Sadly, the mustache is still adorning George Clooney's face, at least as far as we know. DG prefers Clooney with his gorgeous face unadorned. Please shave, George.

4. Brad Pitt has indeed started a charity, Make It Right, to help build homes for those left homeless in New Orleans after Katrina.

5. True. Oprah Winfrey was named the most powerful woman in entertainment on The Hollwood Reporter's annual "Power 100 List." And as far as taking a job in Washington, Oprah says she would stay put, 'even if the president-elect came calling'.

6. Yep...Spears had a birthday. Nope, Spears did not turn 26, but 27. Nope, not The Today Show... it was Good Morning America.

7. No. No. No. Thank Goodness. DG loves Top Chef, and Padma (and thinks Tom Colicchio is pretty cute too!).

8. OMG..say it isn't so! It isn't so. LOL. That was easy. This rumor was quickly put to rest by the brothers on their Jonas Brothers MY SPACE blog asap. "We love what we are doing and hope to do it together for a long time," they added in a note signed by all three of them. Aw.

Desperate Gossip's Celebrity Baby Round Up

Kerri Walsh has another memento from the Olympics...A Baby Belly! Aw...bikinis are put away for now, admits Kerri, who is happily embracing her new found "chubbiness" -- "I'm chubby, and I'm pregnant, and it's awesome!" says Walsh.

"ER" may be ending it's television career, but for ER star, Parminder Nagra, who plays Dr. Neela Rasgotra, her new career as a mommy is about to begin. The "ER" doc has announced she is expecting her first baby with boyfriend boyfriend James Stenson this summer.

"Eli Stone" has a new son! Johnny Lee Miller and his wife, actress Michelle Hicks, welcomed little (well--at 9lbs., not quite so little), Buster Timothy Miller this past Wednesday! Think Miller's ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, who has just taken top honors, btw, for the number one paid actress in Hoolywood will send the happy parents a baby gift?

Baby Bronx is one of those wonderful surprises that are most welcomed, but unplanned, says dad Pete Wentz. "It was a happy accident," Wentz said in an interview with the December issue of Details magazine. Ashlee Simpson and Pete welcomed son Bronx Mowgli on November 20.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos (Mr. Ripa), are NOT splitting up. So says a rep for Ripa, in USMagazine The National Enquirer apparently printed a story about Kelly "Storming" out on hubby Mark because of alleged "other women" (he is a cutie!!).

According to the rep:

"There is no truth to the story. Their marriage continues to be quite healthy and the National Enquirer should be ashamed for fabricating such an untruthful story."


Still, DG can't help but look for the fire. I know--bad.

Ex-BIL Charged In Jennifer Hudson Family Murders

So sad and so angry are the feelings that simply overtake me when I think about the three murders of Jennifer Hudson's family members. Especially that little boy, Hudson's 7 year old nephew.

Today comes the news that prosecutors have now charged Jennifer Hudson's ex-brother-in-law with the three murders. Formal charges were handed down against William Balfour in the deaths of Hudson's mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew, said Tandra Simonton, spokeswoman for the Cook County state's attorney's office.

I remember Balfour being arrested and held and being named " a person of interest" in the case; The ex-husband of Jennifer Hudson's sister, Julia Hudson, was held by Chicago police for 48 hours, and then taken by the Illinois Department of Corrections on suspicion that he had violated his parole.

Reports today say that during a closed hearing last month, investigators presented evidence that Balfour had a gun matching the weapon used in the murders. And apparently the alibi Balfour's pregnant girlfriend had for him....not so good after all. In fact, reports are that the alibi itself has been contraidicted by the girlfriend.

Balfour denies all charges. But interestingly enough, he has also refused to take a lie detector test.

Good Moves For Britney Spears On Good Morning America?

Good moves or so-so moves for the new and improved Britney Spears this morning? In case you hadn't heard yet (though I believe all of America has been notified that Britney was turning 27 Dec. 2nd ) Ms. Spears celebrated her 27th birthday on Good Morning America today.
No doubt about it, I love the new and improved look of Britney. In fact, I'm down right jealous. I know it has been a long hard road for Spears, and the road may still curve some ahead, but damn those abs are awesome!
But how did America perceive Britney's appearance and performance on this morning's GMA show? Seems like the overall opinions are positive and supportive. But there are some that were less enthusiastic ( see Roger Catlin's "Britney On GMA--Still Sleep Walking" about Spears performance, mainly her lip syncing and dance moves.

Spears performed two songs from her new album, "Circus" which also debuts today. Very cool I thought was Britney's two sons, Preston and Jayden being in the audience, along with Spear's mom, Lynne Spears.

The birthday girl also got some special happy birthday greetings from Reese Witherspoon, John Travolta, Nicollette Sheridan, Teri Hatcher and PEOPLE's newly named Sexiest Man Alive, Hugh Jackman – who sang "Happy Birthday" and blew her a kiss.

Baby News In Hollywood Today

Gossip is confirmed, and so is the pregnancy test: Kelly Rutherford, the 40 year old star of Gossip Girl is expecting baby number two!

The baby is due in June 2009, and will join big brother Hermes, now two. Hermes gets to visit the set when mom is working--very cool-- and in his spare time the cute two year old attends "fun" classes and is reputed to be quite the pumpkin picker!

Top Ten Internet Searches Of 2008

Who did people search for the most on the internet in 2008? Number one is no big surprise...Britney Spears reigned number one. People everywhere could not get enoough of the drama that was Britney in 2008.

Number two was World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). This in karge part due to video games, movies and events that kept WWE in top searches for 2008.


Barack Obama made history in 2008, and made number 3 in searches on the Internet. Oh Yeah!

And remember Miley Cyrus's picure shoot in Vanity Fair? The bubbly Disney star ranked number 4 in Internet queries.

Maintaining it's place as number 5 was the multi-player role-playing game, RuneScape.

Number 6 (and ranking higher than Angelina Jolie!) is Jessica Alba. Wow-- more people searching for dish on Alba than Jolie -- I wonder if that made those famous lips pout??

Fictional character, Naruto, is still captivating interest, aznd was number 7 in Internet searches in 2008.

Number 8 -- Lindsay Lohan. Enough said.

Ah...Ms. Angelina Jolie appeared in ninth place in Internet searches. We knew Jolie had to be in the top ten....didn't we??

Tina Fey Reveals Scar History

Actually Tina Fey's hubby, Jeff Richmond, is the revealer of the history of Tina Fey's facial scar, putting to rest the curious speculation that fans of Fey have had. Richmond told Vanity Fair in the January issue about the event that left Fey with a scar on her left cheek.
When Tina Fey was about 5 years old, a stranger apparently ran up into the front yard of Fey's family home, and violently cut her. Fey at the time thought the stranger had marked her with a pen. Weird. And chilling, don't you think?
