Rosie's View Not So Rosy After All

Aw...poor Rosie O'Donnell. Prime Time was not meant for Rosie Time after all. The ex-View co-host returned to television Wednesday night with a prime time variety special. 5 million people tuned in which is dismal numbers at best. And Rosie O'Donnell has posted on her bog there will be no more variety show in her future, even though she says she had a lot of fun doing it.
But in Rosie's defense, the outspoken comedienne was up against some tough competition -- Barack Obama and his wife Michelle were on Wednesday night as well in a Barbara Walter's special.

DG's View On The Real Housewives Of Atlanta

So here is the skinny on The Real Housewives Of Atlanta, according to DG (Desperate Gossip of course!):

DG is hooked. These housewives (woa---hold on, Kim is not a housewife, right? Maybe a "wannabe housewife/country singer at best. Dating some older rich and MARRIED guy does not a housewife make you. Oh well. Enough of the technicalities...moving on) have addicted viewers like no other "Housewives" have before.

Last night was the season finale, with the much anticipated and hyped Housewives of Atlanta Reunion show next Tuesday night. The ladies angst over the rift between Kim, NeNe and Sheree grows ever stronger. An attempt is made to rekindle the deader than dead friendship between NeNe and the "snootier than you anyday" Sheree (guess which lady DG is rooting for?) at a birthday party for housewife Lisa's husband. BTW, anyone else noticing those loving glances Lisa's hubby kept throwing Lisa's way on last night's episode? DG collective hearts were a swoonin!
The plan doesn't work, and once again viewers get to see the "sweet and softer" side of Sheree ( sarcasm inserted here), when she makes snide remarks in reference to NeNe's appearance. Such a classy woman that Sheree is!

Speaking of Sheree, DG is most impressed (Laughing inserted here) with Sheree's "contacts" who made it so easy for the lovely "designer wannabe" Sheree to have "Project Runway's" Michael Knight come to her home and give her advice on her fashion line (you know, her fashion line that has yet to have any fashions?). Is it at all conceivable that anyone exists on planet Earth that is more impressed with Sheree than Sheree herself?

Kim, aka, "Big Daddy's Secret Gal Pal Who Loves Deep Pockets", has decided that she will stop smoking. Uhuh. This is because Kim is going to be a Country Singer. Really. DG knows this for sure because Kim has said she will be. And Kim always gets what Kim wants. Always. Just ask "Big Daddy!"

DeShawn has to deal with the distressing notion that she will possibly have to give up one of her cars as her family deals with her husband's retirement from Professional BasketBall due "To Injury" as Deshawn reminded viewers repeatedly last night. Deshawn also decided she will keep her chef because she really did not enjoy her cooking lesson that Lisa gave her.

And Lisa, whose loving hubby seems to be enamored by his wife, is nervous about her "Best Friend" being away when he joins (or, uh, was going to be joining the Oakland Raiders. Looks like Lisa will not have to be concerned after all, as we learn at the show's end that the Raiders have since released Lisa's husband and they are now trying for baby number 2).

DG's final thoughts.....

NeNe -- Favorite DG Atlanta Housewife by far! Real, crazy, zany, down to earth.

Kim -- Says she is 29, may be so, but DG thinks Kim looks older probably because of her non stop wining ( not red wine mind you because it stains teeth),and whining ( what...why would she need to know anything about singing...she already is a singer, my gosh!) and smoking (what... smoking is not going to affect this county singing mama!)

Sheree -- DG does not want to get started on Sheree, but will. This woman is egotistical, a snob, shallow and just plain nasty. DG most definitely believes Sheree intentionally left NeNe off that party list, and had every intention of destroying the friendship between NeNe and Kim. Nasty.

Lisa -- Funny, tells it like it is pretty much, feisty, and apparently very energetic. DG gives Lisa thumbs up.

Deshawn -- A little on the ditzy side (just DG's opinion), but like-able, friendly and seems to want to keep the peace. The quietest Atlanta Housewife thus far. Definitely likes to be "Googled" and admired. Good soul though, DG thinks. Thumbs up.

The reunion show has been touted as a knock out drag out kind of show. Lisa will turn from pleasant to bull dog right before our very eyes DG has heard. Kim, it is assumed, will be pouty, crying and plain annoying.
Ugly accusations/er..truths may be revealed. Stay tuned.

Oh That Sexy Husband Hugh Jackman

Well, women are sighing all over the land today, am I right? If you are wondering why an actor named Hugh Jackman is now officially "The World's Sexiest Man Alive" (People Magazine says so, so it must be so), you will understand after you see Jackman's latest film, Australia
(due out November 26th).

What does Hugh Jackman's wife (yes, the sexiest man alive is married) have to say about her hubby's distinctive honor? Sharing with the world that her husband's body is 'The Body of Doom', Deborra-Lee Furness also admits that she knew her husband was the sexiest man alive years ago.

Lucky Deborah also apparently gets to enjoy the fringe benefits of being married to an actor-- the costumes Hugh Jackman wears home after filming are a, um, shall we say, appealing to his wife of 12 years. What's more,the World's Sexiest Man Alive cooks, sings and dances to boot when at home.

Want to see more of Hugh Jackman? Like I said, go see the movie. Just see if you can reasonably tell anyone what the movie was really all about afterwards.

Prescription Drugs Involved In Heather Locklear's DUI

Actress Heather Locklear has been formally charged with a DUI by Santa Barbara's DA, but not because of alcohol or illegal drugs.

Locklear was arrested in Montecito are of Santa Barbara on Sept.27 when a call was made by an eyewitness saying that the actress was driving erratically. Now it appears that her erratic driving may have been caused by prescription medications the actress had taken.

Penalties could range from a fine to up to six months in county jail, if the former Melrose Place star is convicted.

Heather Locklear, 47, has been treated for depression and anxiety in the past, and it has been speculated the prescription drugs she was using were from that treatment.

Arraignment has been set for Jan. 26th in Santa Barbara Superior Court.

Dancing With The Stars Cloris Leachman In Hospital

Dancing With The Stars should have a new record by now--- most hospitalizations and/or injuries for a TV Series.

Latest Casualty is the oldest participant in DWTS yet-- 82 year old actress, Cloris Leachman.

The feisty actress was hospitalized today apparently with a case of pneumonia. There has been no official confirmation as yet from Cloris Leachman's spokesperson, but the TV show, Entertainment Tonight, has reported the hospitalization of Leachman.

Our very best wishes for a speedy and full recovery go out to Cloris! We loved your antics, feistiness and complete joy of life you showed everyone on DWTS....now kick that pneumonia in the butt, Cloris, and get well soon!!

The Bachelor's Mary Delgado Has a Temper (Tantrum)

Wow--so it seems that Byron Velvick, the Bachelor from Season Six of ABC's The Bachelor, picked a real dozy when he chose Mary Delgado back in 2004.

If you recall, the apparently hot tempered Delgado was arrested in 2007 for allegedly punching her "Bachelor" fiancee, Byron, in the face. Ouch. The charge of one count domestic battery was later dropped. Hmmm....

But just late Saturday, the rose winning Delgado was again arrested when her apparent bad temper was ignited again. This time Mary Delgado was at a bar in Texas and allegedly refused to leave when asked to by the management. Ah....a woman that does not like to be told what to do, it would seem.

Police were called and though Delgado was initially arrested for public intoxication and disorderly conduct, the rose winner from The Bachelor Season Six decided to add an extra charge of resisting arrest. That charge was added on after Mary allegedly screamed at the officers and kicked the patrol car's radio. Ouch.

Byron Velvick, the knight-in-shining-armor/rose lade bachelor, apparently came to his fiancee's rescue by helping Delgado post bail. She was released a few hours after the arrest.

There is a true "Bachelor Love Story" for you! Or maybe Velvick is just too ,ehem, afraid to leave the tempetuous Mary.
