Actor Patrick Swayze is being treated for pancreatic cancer that was first diagnosed about a month ago. According to his doctor, Swayze has a "limited amount of the disease, and is responding well to treatment."
This is sad news, and our prayers and well-wishes go out to the Swayze family. Let's hope that Patrick wins this battle in a big way!
The National Enquirer broke the story in a really horrible way, I might add, stating Swayze had only weeks to live. But in a much more hopeful update, the website TMZ is reporting that a representative for Patrick Swayze has said Patrick's doctor has said, " All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic.' Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects. The outpouring of support and concern he has already received from the public is deeply appreciated by Patrick and his family."
